Senior Designer  •   J. WAYNE REITZ UNION gainesville  FLORIDA
May 2011 – Present  Designed print and digital promotional material for all Union organizations and developed branding systems and campaigns for several committees, programs and events. Communicated with clients from a wide range of backgrounds.
Independent Contractor  •   DIGITARIA san diego  CALIFORNIA
May – August 2012  Created digital presentations, books, and mock websites to pitch to potential clients. Aided in ideation of creative advertising for the Comic-Con event.
Graphics Intern  •   BEX BRANDS san diego  CALIFORNIA
May – August 2012  Conducted brand research and design for a small, two person studio. Aided in the design of identity and logos, packaging, invitations, and installations.
Project Manager  •   MINT GRAPHIC DESIGN STUDIO gainesville  FLORIDA
January – May 2010  Led a group of designers in directing the re-branding and identity creation for multiple clients. Communicated personally with clientele and maintained group organization.

AWARDS

James J. Rizzi Scholarship  •   UF COLLEGE OF FINE ARTS
Undergraduate Studio Major awarded for exceptional artistic & academic merit.
Peer Choice Award  •   LIGATURE XXI
Three pieces were submitted and chosen by a jury made up of recogized designers Duane King, Mike Tabie and Dana Tanamachi to participate in the annual design symposium. Given the Peer Choice Award.
Grant Recipient  •   CODIFIED II : ART+GENETICS
Collaborated with a fellow student to submit a proposal for a grant leading to the creation of an artpiece about the politics of genetics and agriculture. One of 10 chosen to receive funding.

INVOLVEMENT

Student Artist in Residence Program  •   AGRICULTURAL & BIOLOGICAL ENGINEERING
Chosen to participate in a one month residency following scientists across various disciplines culminating in a responsive art piece. Aim is to push creativity and knowledge in fields of science and art.
Ideo Jumpstart Workshop  •   UF COLLEGE OF FINE ARTS & BUSINESS + ENGINEERING
Two year participant in IDEO’s conference where groups collaborated on ideas to create a more connected society. Top four finalist for most innovative concept in 2012.
